Our Vision Document
Kiara Aarons
Women’s Advocacy & Empowerment Coordinator
Program Director
Kiara Aarons, a hairstylist and braid specialist, takes pride in being a hard-working woman along with the drive to make others feel confident and comfortable with themselves. Dedicating her time to her full-time job as an Employee of Scarborough Spots, Kiara shows initiative, commitment and passion towards the work she puts into her store. Ensuring all retail items are up to par and to the store’s standards, she also enjoys organization and customer satisfaction. This drive comes from her personal experience of dealing with an abusive relationship, she was not able to do the things she’s passionate about such as working in the community and with the youth.
Aside from doing hair and working retail, Kiara has a history of working with youth in the community as a camp counsellor, giving children from families who are not financially able to afford expensive camps, an opportunity to enjoy their summer and experience activities with other children outside of school, along with giving life advice and moral support for those who reached out looking for support. This experience has driven her to become a major part of the United Scarborough Initiative, focusing on bringing the Scarborough people together, especially the youth. Extremely driven and optimistic, Kiara is always ready for a positive change in her community.
